Act Now and Support the Coin that Honors Marines

SAMPLE COPY:

Dear Senator/Representative <insert name>

As a proud <Marine/Marine Corps supporter>, I am writing to encourage you to cosponsor and support the 250th Anniversary of the United States Marine Corps Commemorative Coin Act, which would instruct the Treasury Department to mint 1 million commemorative coins in 2025. Time is running out to support this bill!

All proceeds from the coin would be used to support the educational, historical, and cultural programs of the National Museum of the Marine Corps and the Marine Corps Heritage Center.

The Marine Corps will celebrate its 250th anniversary in 2025 and this legislation is an opportunity for Congress to show their support for every Marine who has served since its creation in 1775.

As the number of veterans in our country has gotten smaller over time, preservation of our Marine Corps story is more important than ever. This legislation will ensure the Marine Corps legacy is protected and honored so it can be shared with future generations over the next 250 years.

Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,

<insert name, title>
